Sanoubane Chipping Up

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Bobby Sanoubane
Bobby Sanoubane

Barb Visher completed her small blind and Bobby Sanoubane checked, bringing a flop of {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Both players checked and the turn came {k-Spades}. Visher bet 75,000 and Sanoubane made the call.

The river fell {j-Spades} and Visher bet again, tossing out 125,000. Sanoubane thought for close to a minute and tossed in chips to call.

Visher showed {q-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a missed straight draw and upon seeing it, Sanoubane turned over {6-Spades}{3-Hearts} to show that he had made the correct call with his six. He had chipped up a bit prior to the pot and now sits with over 1.5 million. Meanwhile, Barb Visher has dipped below that same 1.5 million mark and now finds herself as the shortest stack in the tournament.

Wilkie Picks Off Visher, Surpasses 5 Million

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Nate Zoller raised to 175,000 in the cutoff and was called by Barb Visher, who was on the button. Bobby Sanoubane folded in the small blind and Steve Wilkie defended his big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and all three players checked.

The turn fell {5-Spades} and Wilkie and Zoller checked again. Visher bet 250,000 and received two calls.

The river came {2-Spades} and action checked to Visher once more. She bet 275,000 and Wilkie took little time to put out a call. Zoller folded.

Visher commented about Wilkie having a nice hand as she sat there with her hand still on her cards. Wilkie tabled {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens and Visher slid her cards forward to the muck as the pot was sent WIlkie's way.

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Randy Needens
Randy Needens

Barb Visher opened to 125,000 from the hijack and Randy Needens went all in over the top of her for 165,000. Action folded to Nate Zoller in the big blind and he put out chips to call. Visher called behind to create a side pot for potential future action.

Both players checked the flop {9-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. The turn came {7-Hearts} and Zoller bet 200,000. Visher called, bringing the river {5-Clubs}. Zoller threw out another bet of 300,000 and Visher folded, showing the {j-Diamonds} face up. With Visher's fold, Zoller earned the side pot and it was time for both him and Needens to table their hands for the main pot.

Randy Needens: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Nate Zoller: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Needens had flopped top pair, top kicker and felt great about his chances to triple and regain some fold equity. Unfortunately for him, Zoller turned a set of sevens and locked up the elimination, with Needens earning a fifth-place prize of $16,325.

Nines Good for Visher

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Nate Zoller opened to 155,000 from the hijack and Barb Visher called in the cutoff. All remaining payers folded and the flop came {8-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Zoller checked to Visher and she quickly put out a bet of 150,000. Zoller made the call.

The turn {5-Spades} saw both players check, bringing the river {10-Spades}. Zoller checked to Visher and she checked behind, taking the hand to showdown.

"Your pair is good," said Zoller, showing {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Visher tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and took down the pot with her two pair, nines and fives.

Big Blind Special for Wilke

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Bobby Sanoubane saw action folded to him in the small blind and he completed. Steve Wilkie checked his option from the big blind and the two saw a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Sanoubane checked to Wilke, who bet 100,000. Sanoubane made the call.

Both players checked the turn {10-Diamonds} and the river came {8-Spades}. Sanoubane checked a third time. Wilke then fired 100,000 forward and Sanoubane immediately tossed in a chip to call.

Wilke tabled {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Sanoubane mucked, saying that he had hit a ten and that the river helped Wilke improve beyond that.
