Zoller Doubles Through Sanoubane

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 30,000 ante
Nate Zoller
Nate Zoller

Nate Zoller had opened preflop from the small blind and saw Bobby Sanoubane defend. The flop came {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and he made a continuation-bet of 100,000, getting a call from Sanoubane.

The turn fell {k-Clubs} and Zoller announced he was all in for a total of 905,000. Sanoubane went into the tank and after close to three minutes, threw in chips to call.

Nate Zoller: {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Bobby Sanoubane: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Zoller's flopped eights up were ahead of Sanoubane's top pair of kings and he was in need of fading the eight king/queen/threes in the deck in order to double. The river {a-Spades} truly was the prettiest card in the deck for Zoller as he raked in the pot to find himself back in second place in chips.

Barb Visher
Barb Visher

Barb Visher went all in for her last 810,000 on the button Steve Wilkie quickly annoucned a call from the big blind upon Bobby Sanoubane folding in the small blind.

Barb Visher: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Steve Wilkie: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

"Nice hand," said Visher, realizing she was drawing slim for her tournament life. The flop came {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts} and was of no help to her. The turn came {j-Hearts} to take away the two sixes she had as outs. However, it gave her eight new outs to a flush, leaving her in better shape than she was in on the flop. The river fell {a-Spades} to seal the deal and she was sent home in fourth place after around six hours of play at the final table.

There was around 500,000 in the pot on a board of {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Bobby Sanoubane checked in the small blind. Steve Wilkie checked in the big blind and Nate Zoller, who was last to act, checked behind from the cutoff.

The river came {2-Hearts} and Sanoubane bet 200,000. Wilkie called, prompting a fold from Zoller.

"Pair of aces," said the dealer as Wilkie immediately showed {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Sanoubane sat still for a moment before rechecking his cards. He then mucked his cards, showing the {a-Diamonds} face up to signify that he had a worse ace than Wilkie did.

Sanoubane Gets A Bit More

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Steve Wilkie limped from the cutoff and Barb Visher completed her small blind. Bobby Sanoubane checked his option and the flop came {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. Visher bet 50,000 and both Sanoubane and Wilkie called.

Visher then checked the turn {9-Hearts}. Sanoubane put out a bet of 225,000 and Wilkie folded. Visher then had action on her and she thought for a few moments before letting her hand go, resulting in another pot being sent Sanoubane's way.

In the meantime, Zoller has lost a few small pots to Wilkie, whose heater continues as he has surpassed the 6 million-chip mark.
