Quad Aces Blast Grahm's Cowboys

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Bobby Opila
Bobby Opila

Peter Grahm was on the button and raised to 500. Robert Opila three-bet him to 2,500 out of the big blind and Grahm thought for about 90 seconds before four-betting to 7,500. With action back on Opila, he thought for a few moments before going all in for what was effectively Grahm's last 17,000.

Grahm went back into the tank for about a minute before saying, "What are the odds?" After another 20 seconds, he announced a call.

"One hundred percent aces," said another player at the table as Opila tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

Graham saw the grim news as he turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The flop fell {4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

"Oh my f*****g......" said Grahm as he found himself drawing dead on the flop, simply awaiting the last two cards to come before his elimination became official. The turn and river came {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and he got up from his seat, giving Opila a fist bump and congratulating him on a nice hand as he left the table.

Zoller Gets Value With Boat

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was over 7,000 in the pot on a board of {4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Nate Zoller bet 4,500 from the small blind into Ruth Graham, who was on the button. After a few moments, Graham called.

Zoller showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for aces full of nines and Graham mucked, resulting in Zoller taking down a pot that increased his stack by a significant amount after losing a big pot to start the day.

Itoafa Raises the Flop

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was 5,500 in the pot from preflop action as the four players with cards in front of them watched the dealer fan a flop of {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Wesley Palazzi checked from the small blind and Peter Graham bet 1,500 from the big blind. Stephen Zipprich was in the cutoff and called, putting action on Mike Itoafa, who was on the button. Itoafa grabbed several chips and then put them to the side, favoring a red T5,000 chip to throw into the pot instead as he announced a raise.

Palazzi quickly folded and action was on Graham, who went into the tank for about a minute. Eventually he folded and Zipprich followed suit, resulting in the pot being sent Itoafa's way.

Meanwhile, Bobby Opila has joined the action on Table 3 to bring the total number of players in the tournament to 18.

Alipourfard Takes Early Chip Lead

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Mansour Alipourfard
Mansour Alipourfard

Mansour Alipourfard recently won a huge pot versus Nate Zoller where he flopped quads. Both of them turned a flush, though Alipourfard's four of a kind proved to shine through.

Alipourfard also just took down another pot that had about 2,800 on the turn with a board of {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}. He was under the gun and threw out a bet of 2,000, only to get check-raised to 6,000 by Thomas Fuller out of the small blind.

Alipourfard three-bet to 19,000 and Fuller took about five seconds before folding {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} face-up, believing that his flopped bottom set was no good.

A Pair of River Bets

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Stephen Zipprich opened to 300 from the cutoff and was called by Mike Itoafa in the small blind as well as Peter Graham, who defended his big blind. The three saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} and all three players checked.

The turn came {j-Diamonds} and Graham led out for 700. Zipprich quickly folded and Itoafa thought for about 20 seconds before tossing chips in to make the call.

The river fell {k-Spades} and Graham fired another 1,200. Itoafa folded and Graham took down the pot.

On an adjacent table, William Yarosh opened to 300 from the cutoff and received a call from Corey Zedo out of the small blind. Both players checked the flop {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}, bringing the turn {3-Hearts}. Zedo bet 500 and Yarosh called.

The river came {2-Diamonds} and Zedo announced a bet of 700. Yarosh folded and the pot was sent Zedo's way.

Burke and Livingston Chop

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Daniel Burke had opened from the button, having a blue T500 chip out in front of him. Matt Livingston was in the small blind and thee-bet to 1,050. Burke called.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Livingston made a continuation-bet of 1,000. Burke raised to 3,000 and was called.

The turn fell {10-Hearts} and Livingston checked to Burke, who put out a bet of 5,000. Livingston called.

The river was {6-Spades} and both players checked through to showdown.

Upon checking behind, Burke tabled {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Livingston showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, having missed his turned flush draw of a freeroll. The two laughed about having the same hand as the dealer chopped up the pot.
