Tyler Potts on Day 1

Hand #1: Tyler Potts open-jammed in the hijack for his last 35,000 and Jay Teel three-bet on the button, getting folds behind.

Tyler Potts: {k-}{q-}
Jay Teel: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

An ace on the flop was more than Potts could overcome and he was eliminated shortly after the bubble burst.

Hand #2: Jorden Helstern opened to 20,000 on the button and Edwin Parker called in the small blind. Chad Stoffel was in the big blind and re-jammed for 35,000 with Helstern coming over the top to force Parker out of the hand.

Jorden Helstern: {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Chad Stoffel: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Helstern's king was ahead and he pulled further out in front on the flop {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Stoffel found four more outs on the turn {a-Clubs} but the river {k-Spades} gave Helstern trips and eliminated Stoffel from the tournament.

Meanwhile, Tracy Allgeier was also eliminated from an adjacent table, bringing the field down to 28 with just one more elimination needed for the three-table redraw.
