Brink Felts Two
A five-way limped pot brought about a flop of and Zach Gutierrez bet 5,000 in middle position once it became his turn to do so. Lawrence Brink called in the cutoff and then the big blind check-shoved for 38,600.
Gutierrez took some time to think about his decision and then called all in for less. As soon as he did, Brink immediately called to put both players at risk.
"Oh man, he called too? I'm dead. I was calling him (the big blind)," exclaimed Gutierrez as he turned over . His hand was behind both other players', with Brink showing and the big blind tabling for trips, putting him in prime position to more than double.
Instead, a running gave Brink a backdoor queen-high flush, improving him to the best hand. Both pots were sent his way as his prize for scoring the double knockout.
