Alexander Cracks Martinez's Aces to Burst Bubble

Level 19 : Blinds 8,000/1,600, 1,600 ante

Dejaunte 'DJ' Alexander opened to 32,000 preflop and Adrian Martinez just called to see a flop of 994.

Alexander checked to Martinez, who just ripped in his stack of 300,000 and Alexander called to put him at risk.

"I know I got the best hand," Alexander announced as the table waited until the rest of the room's action was complete. When they were given the all-clear, the hands were on their backs.

Adrian Martinez: AA
Dejuante Alexander: 44

Alexander did indeed have the best hand with his flopped full house, but he still had to fade two aces and two nines to keep it that way. Luckily for him, the runout was 710 and he was awarded the pot while Martinez exited on the stone bubble of the Main Event.

Yen Flopped Set Scores Double Knockout; Crippled Bomer Exits Soon After

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jerry Yen
Jerry Yen

With Charles Dawson already all in preflop, Jerry Yen, Youn Noh, and Rory Bomer all went to a flop of 638.

Noh then led-jammed all in for a little over 100,000 and Bomer called, but then Yen shoved over the top for more, putting the pressure on Bomer.

"Of course, he just has it here..." Bomer began a long monologue with himself as he talked through the hand. "Maybe he has diamonds and we're purely flipping... Ugh, such a weird spot to be in... I wish I had less, then this would be much easier!"

After nearly two minutes of this, he finally set out his remaining 120,000 and the four hands were on their backs.

Charles Dawson: 99
Youn Noh: 1010
Jerry Yen: 33
Rory Bomer: JJ

Yen was way in the lead with his set of threes, and the turn improved him to a full house, followed by a brick A on the river to seal his victory. He was then pushed the massive pot worth over 700,000 while Dawson and Noh exited and Bomer was left on life support.

Bomer was left with less than a blind and did manage to spin it up by doubling a few hands in a row, but eventually ran king-ten into aces and was sent to the rail.

Hernandez quickly called for less, and Bevans thought about it for a good bit before he decided to let it go.

Peng Zheng: AQ
Gerardo Hernandez: AA

Hernandez was in a great position to double up with his aces, but the runout was brutal as it came J695Q to give Zheng a runner-runner flush to scoop the pot, eliminating Hernandez.

Jones Runs Queens into Hoang's Aces

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Justin Jones had made it 8,100 to go preflop but then Tri Hoang raised to 19,200. After some pause, Jones made the call to see the flop of 365.

Hoang then checked to Jones, who moved all in and Hoang snap-called to put him at risk.

Justin Jones: QQ
Tri Hoang: AA

The turn and river came the 104 for Hoang's aces to trump Jones' queens and he was pushed the pot while Jones was sent to the rail.

Board Bricks to Bust Vinh

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a three-way turn of 6K87, there is around 60,000 in the pot when Bao 'Tic-Tac' Vinh moved all in for roughly 70,000.

Tony Nguyen was next to act and he thought about it for a long while before he slid his cards into the middle and the action was then on Rory Bome who quickly tossed out a chip to call.

Bao Vinh: J7
Rory Bome: AA

Bome was ahead with his pocket pair of aces, but any jack, seven, or heart would give the pot to Kanazawa.

Unfortunately for Vinh, the river was the brick 9 and Bome was pushed the pot while Vinh was sent to the rail. Meanwhile, Nguyen was kicking himself for folding king-ten as he would have made a straight on the river.
