Big Day Planned for Day 4 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival Tallinn Fall Edition
Saturday is here, which can only mean that we are onto Day 4 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival Tallinn Fall Edition at Olympic Park Casino. The action thus far has been tremendous with games suitable for just about anyone with stakes ranging from €1/€1 to €5/€10 and games ranging from no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, pineapple open-face Chinese poker, Sviten special and super dealer's choice that included anything players could think of that they could explain to the other players.
One of the biggest tables in recent memory was still running as the sun came up with the €5/€5 pot-limit Omaha table featuring Cash Game Festival Dublin trophy winner Kevin Malone and Ryan Mullarkey with about €100,000 on the table. Of course, there were tons of straddling in the game and it was unusual for any pot to be under four-digits with some pots reaching over €10,000.
Also running for hours on end was a €2/€2 super dealer's choice game where crazy games were played including with cards on players heads, even during Omaha, and games with multiple boards and wild cards. Among the players at this table were well-known Twitch sensation Espen Uhlen Jørstad, Betsson Poker Manager Marika Nowak and Nordicbet Poker Manager Jostein Grødum.
Yesterday, players that secured a Cash Game Festival Tallinn package through an online promotion or purchased the hospitality package were treated to an afternoon VIP dinner. Previous activities included welcome drinks and painting of nude models. Still to come is a rocking party where drinks will be flowing at one of Tallinn's best clubs Vabank Night Club tonight and a guided tour tomorrow.
Yesterday's feature tables were full of excitement as well. To start things off was an amazing Ladies Feature Table with some of the best women poker players in the area and throughout Europe. Estonian Tennis Coach Maret Komarova, who was a regular on the tour in 2016, rose to the top of the pack by booking a profit of €594 or 297 big blinds.
The stakes moved up to €5/€10 no-limit hold'em, which proved to be a very competitive table. Cash Game Festival Commentator Andrew "Picasso" Hedley joined in on the fun and proved to his fans that he can play with the best of them by booking a profit of €1,320 or 132 big blinds. He added a bit more profit after the cameras turned off before heading to play Sviten Special for the first time.
Viacheslav Kovalev was the biggest winner while the table was streamed by notching up a healthy profit of €1,716 or 171.6 big blinds.
Even though Komarova and Kovalev notched big wins at their perspective table, neither player are not currently in contention for the trophy. Right now, Heiti Riisberg maintains a lead that is likely to hold throughout the festival after winning €3,364 or 1,682 big blinds on a wild and crazy €2/€2 no-limit hold'em table on the first day of the festival.
As will be the case throughout the festival there will be two feature tables today at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. EET on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel and in our PokerNews coverage under the Live Stream tab.
The first table will feature Ed Furniss, who dominated a feature table during the previous Cash Game Festival in Dublin and Cash Game Festival veteran Daniel Näsman. The stakes then move up to €5/€10 no-limit hold'em with Cash Game Festival London big winner Jon Kyte among the players confirmed.
The casino is expected to be packed with all 15 tables expected to be running on Day 4. While we can't predict the excitement ahead of time, we can say for sure fun times are ahead.
Stay tuned at PokerNews for the last two days as we report the hottest action during the 2017 Cash Game Festival Tallinn. Our official coverage is scheduled to begin before the first feature table kicks off at 6 p.m.
