Welcome Back to Day 1b of R$25,000 BSOP Millions Championship

BSOP Millions

The 2024 BSOP Millions festival being held at the WTC Sheraton in Sao Paulo, Brazil is widely considered by many to be the largest Latin American poker festival ever and the numbers have not disappointed. The R$25,000 Millions Championship boasts a promising guaranteed prizepool of R$10,000,000 and Day 1a put the tournament well on its way to achieving that with a total of 187 entries. Only 69 players made it through unscathed and it was Gabriel Nobrego who set the benchmark with a stack of 738,000 chips.

All of those players who made it through Day 1a will return for Day 2 on November 22 along with the other starting flights. Other notable players making it through the opening flight include Matheus Grazziotin (678,000) as the second largest stack, Andres Korn (382,000), and Joao Simao (213,000).

Now it is time to do it all over again as Day 1b is set to kick off with another exciting day of poker. The cards will go in the air at 2:00 p.m. local time and the day will consist of ten 60-minute levels with a 15-minute break after every two levels. There will also be a 75-minute dinner break slated after level six at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Players will all begin with a starting stack of 100,000 chips and the blinds will start at 300/600 with a 600 big blind ante. If a player is unfortunate enough to be eliminated, they will be allowed one re-entry per starting flight. The registration period will remain open until the start of level nine, which is approximately midnight time. Like yesterday, the first 15 players seated will be given either a restaurant voucher or a bottle of champagne. Each player will also be given a "rabbit hunting" card, good for a single use of revealing the board of a finished hand.

The PokerNews team will be bringing you all of the live updates from the tournament floor throughout the day so stay tuned for all of the exciting action.
