Ramos Distances Himself from the Field
Level 8
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
On a board of Q♥9♦5♠7♠, Dennys Ramos was heads-up with Renan Meneghetti in a pot that already had over 120,000 in the middle. Ramos checked from the big blind and Meneghetti tossed in a bet of 28,000. Ramos check-raised to 80,000 and his Meneghetti called.
The 7♣ paired the board on the river and Ramos used two time banks before announcing all in as the big stack. Meneghetti was put to the test for his remaining 145,000 chips and he dipped into the tank. As two minutes struck the clock, he was forced to give up his three time banks along with his cards.
Ramos collected the largest pot of the day thus far and therefore took over a sizeable chip lead on the rest of the field.
