Joseph Rich Bags the Overall Chip Lead
The final flight of Event #1: $600 Deepstack Kick-Off in the Borgata Winter Poker Open drew a massive total of 1,415 entries. This brought the combined total to 4,375 entries creating a prize pool of over $2,200,000.
There are approximately 230 players from this flight moving on to day two. Joseph Rich bagged the overall chip lead with a staggering 528,000 and looks to be the only player returning with over half a million.
Some of the other players to bag big are Rob Calabrese (399,000), Matt Kennedy (390,000), Christopher Leveque (340,000), and Ron Birmingham (309,000).
Plenty of other familiar faces are moving on to day two including Fady Khabbaz (269,000), Zachary Gruneberg (214,000) Eric Siegel (206,000), Ryan Slowik (159,000), Dave Stefanski (140,000) and Soukha Kachittavong (101,000)
Approximately 750 day 1a-e survivors will return to the Event Center on Friday, January 17 at 11 a.m. local time to resume day two play and PokerNews will be picking right back up on the live tournament coverage.
