Eriquezzo Flops the Nuts

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jamie Giunta
Jamie Giunta

After a player opened to 7,000, Jamie Giunta (button) raised to 20,000, then Ryan Eriquezzo (bb) made it 55,000. The opened got out of the pot and Giunta called.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Eriquezzo led out for 40,000. Giunta moved in for about 130,000 and he snapped, tabling {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the Broadway straight and the nuts. Her {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} was in trouble, needing a jack or two runners.

The {q-Diamonds} on the turn left Giunta needing an Ace, Queen, or Jack, but the {6-Spades} on the river was a total brick. She was busted and Eriquezzo chipped up to more than 500,000.

Joey "Mush" Galazzo
Joey "Mush" Galazzo

Joey Galazzo made a deep run in the WPT BWPO Championship, busting out in 25th place for $19,886. It was quite an accomplishment to make it to Day 4 in this stacked field, but of course Galazzo wanted to go all the way. He already holds three Borgata titles and would like to make it an even four here today. He also pocketed $5,000 in a Super Survivor during this series. so he's been playing well.

DeSanto and Baksh Split Up After Break

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Joseph DeSanto & Wazir Baksh
Joseph DeSanto & Wazir Baksh

Joseph DeSanto is building heaps heading into the post-registration period. He's already appeared at two final tables this week, finishing eighth in Event #21: $230 Deep Stack NLH for $1,438 and finishing seventh in Event $24: $440 Black Chip Bounty NLH, for $1,839 (not including bounties). Obviously he's hoping to close out the series with another cash and hopefully a win, which would be his third at Borgata. He has two wins in DeepStacks Challenge series events over the previous two years.

Wazir Baksh is on his left and he was one win at Borgata in the March 2019 Monster Stacks series. These two were probably relieved when they returned from break and their table was broken, shipping them both to empty seats elsewhere in the room.
