"sri50k" Over a Quarter-Million

"sri50k" Knocks Out "BokeemSpades"
"sri50k" Knocks Out "BokeemSpades"

With Level 14 underway and blinds at 2,000/4,000, "BokeemSpades" raised to 8,000 in early position and received a call from "sri50k," who was in the hijack. "emccards1" three-bet to 24,000 in the small blind and both players called.

The three players saw the flop come {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and action checked around to "sri50k," who bet 28,000. "emccards1" folded and "BokeemSpades" check-raised all in for 65,100. "sri50k" called.

"BokeemSpades": {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
"sri50k": {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

"BokeemSpades" was behind with middle pair and a gutshot straight draw and at risk for their tournament life against top pair. They picked up eight more outs on the turn {a-Diamonds} but the river {5-Hearts} did not fill up anything and they were eliminated from the tournament.

"ClarkWesterfeld" Wins on River

With blinds up to 1,800/3,600 in Level 13, action was heads up between "ClarkWesterfeld" in the hijack and "theMossberg," who was on the button.

There was 44,850 in the middle on a board of {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and "ClarkWesterfeld" bet 22,425. "theMossberg" clicked it back, raising the minimum to 44,850. "ClarkWesterfeld" thought until they needed to activate their time bank, eventually settling on a call.

The river came {8-Diamonds} and "ClarkWesterfeld" fired out enough to put "theMossberg" to a test for their remaining 63,400. "theMossberg" thought for a few moments and then folded, resulting in "ClarkWesterfeld" taking down the pot without needing to see a showdown.

Get to Know BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pro Daniel Buzgon

Daniel Buzgon
Daniel Buzgon

In early 2019, Daniel Buzgon signed on as a BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pro – one of three alongside Michael “Gags” Gagliano and Katie Stone.

“It took a little bit of time to get all the paperwork and stuff like that,” Buzgon previously told PokerNews of becoming sponsored. “It was in December when it started but wasn’t official until just before the Borgata Winter series. Duties include mainly playing a lot online, promoting the site, and trying to get new players on the site.”

According to HendonMob, Buzgon has more than $2.3 million in lifetime live tournament earnings since 2007. He’s a four-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner has played for big money before. In 2001, he finished third in the WPT Borgata Poker Open for $335,433, and last year he finished fifth in the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event for $202,942. He also finished fourth in the 2012 WPT bestbet Jacksonville for $94,624.

Additionally, Buzgon is a beast online where he’s amassed more than $3.1 million in earnings, of which $435,457 has come on BorgataPoker.com where he plays under the screen name “leinad.”

Keep an eye out for Buzgon throughout the 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series.

"DiGio" Doubles Through "supremetny"

With action in Level 11 and blinds of 1,400/2,800 with a 350 ante, "DiGio" got all in on a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds} from under the gun against "supremetny," who was in the big blind.

"DiGio": {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
"supremetny": {a-Spades}{6-Spades}

"DiGio's" top pair was out in front and their situation got even better on the turn {5-Clubs} as one more of "supremetny's" outs was removed. The river {3-Clubs} improved them further to a flush and scored the double along the way.

"BokeemSpades" Gets Eliminated

Action was in Level 10 with blinds of 1,200/2,400 and an ante of 300. "beezwax" was in middle position and opened to 7,200. "pure_reason" called in the cutoff and then "BokeemSpades" three-bet all in for 45,507. "beezwax" called and "pure_reason" folded.

"BokeemSpades": {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
"beezwax": {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"BokeemSpades" was out in front but their opponent had two live cards, one of which paired on the flop {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. They were drawing dead by the turn {8-Hearts} as "beezwax" picked up trips, and the river {6-Spades} completed the runout before the pot was shipped to "beezwax."
