Matos Off to a Strong Start in Deeper Stack

After pulling another pot, Carlos Matos is up to about 55,000 and off to a good start here early in the Deeper Stack.

He took home his second Borgata Open title during the Summer Poker Open in the Purple Chip Bounty, which earned each player $500 for every player they busted. First place was good for $16,739* (not counting bounties!) and the hefty Borgata Hotel replica trophy.

Matos' first Borgata title came in the 2018 Fall Poker Open $300 Deeper Stack NLH event, which earned him $14,000*.

The 2019 Borgata Poker Open continues with Event #7: $230 Deeper Stack NLH ($50k GTD).

The tournament starts players with 35,000 in chips and offers late registration and re-entries through the break at the end of Level 10. Levels 1-15 are 25 minutes in length and after that they switch to 30 minutes.

Last year this tournament drew 333 entries and offered an $86,580 prize pool. Tyler Giles of Readin, Pennsylvania took down that tournament for $17,443.
