Gesso Turns the Nuts vs. Givotovsky
Level 27
: 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Arnaldo Gordon opened to 135,000 from under the gun, Gino Gesso called in the cutoff and Alek Givotovsky defended his big blind. The dealer spread out on the flop and action checked to Gesso who bet 200,000.
Givotovsky check-raised to 510,000 and Gordon released his hand. Gesso moved all in for 1,075,000 total and Givotovsky called, tabling for top pair. "I only have a straight draw," said Gesso as he turned over for an open ender.
The instantly slapped down on the turn, completing the straight for Gesso as Givotovsky was now only drawing to a split. A river card was not that of a split and Gesso pulled in the pot for a complete double through Givotovsky.
