Smith Doubles Thru McGuinness Before Break

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Mitchell Smith
Mitchell Smith

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} John McGuinness (utg) fired ~400,000 and got a call from Mitchell Smith (button). The {k-Clubs} turn earned a check from McGuinness, a bet of 1.2 million from Smith, and a jam from McGuinness.

Smith tanked for a couple of minutes, then called all-in for 3,955,000 total. His {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} made a better two-pair hand than McGuinnes' {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and Smith doubled up to more than 10 million.

That was the end of the level and players are taking a 15 minute color-up break.

Panja Lymswan Eliminated in 6th Place ($54,431)

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Panja Lymswan
Panja Lymswan

John McGuinness opened to 625,000 from the button and Panja Lymswan moved all in for just under three million from the small blind. McGuinness snap-called and the two turned over their hands.

Panja Lymswan: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
John McGuinness: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop rolled over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, flopping an ace for both players but McGuinness was ahead with his higher kicker. A {6-Spades} hit on the turn, leaving Lymswan in need of a johnny to stay alive. The {8-Spades} river was not that and McGuinness scooped the entire pot, sending Lymswan on his way.

Frank Marasco
Frank Marasco

Benson Tang opened to 450,000 from the button, Frank Marasco moved all in for 1,395,000 in the small blind and Tang called, players tabled their hands with Marasco at risk.

Frank Marasco: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Benson Tang: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The dealer fanned out {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} on the flop and Tang took the lead with his pair of nines. A {3-Hearts} came down on the turn, leaving Marasco with one last chance for romance.

The {8-Diamonds} did not improve Marasco as Tang took down the pot with his nines, eliminating Marasco from the tournament in eighth place.

Brittney Barnes

Brittany Barnes was left short-stacked after folding to an earlier river shove from Benson Tang.

Warren Doubles Thru Smith

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Keith Warren
Keith Warren

Mitchell Smith (hijack) opened for 2.2 million only to have Keith Warren (cutoff) shove for 3.27 total. Smith called, showing {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, which was smashed by Warren's {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The runout of {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} changed nothing and Warren doubled up to just over 7 million. Smith was left with 2.4 million.

Smith Fades Some Cards to Double Through Tang

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Mitchell Smith
Mitchell Smith

Benson Tang opened to 450,000 from middle position, Mitchell Smith defended his big blind and the flop came down {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Smith checked to Tang who pushed in a continuation bet of 500,000 and Smith swiftly moved all in for 2,320,000. Tang snap-called and players tabled their hands.

Mitchell Smith: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Benson Tang: {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The {2-Hearts} landed as a turn card and Smith's pair of aces was still in the lead. A {10-Diamonds} completed the board, cementing the pot for Smith who patiently found himself a double through the chipleader.

Tang Pushes Barnes Off Pot with River Shove

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Benson Tang
Benson Tang

In another battle of the blinds, Brittney Barnes completed the small, then Benson Tang (bb) raised to 575,000. Barnes called.

On the {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Barnes checked, Tang fired 475,000, and Barnes check-raised to 1.2 million. Tang called.

Turn was the {3-Clubs} and Barnes led out for 1.8 million. Tang called.

River brought the {4-Clubs} and Barnes announced a bet of 2.5 million, leaving herself only 2.64 million behind. Tang announced "all in" and Barnes said "this is going to take a minute" as she counted out her remaining chips. "Did you flop two pair on me again?" she asked. No response from Tang.

After agonizing for about a minute, she surrendered her cards to the muck. Tang is now playing about 27 million.

Jackson Takes Some Back from McGuinness

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
David Jackson
David Jackson

John McGuinness opened to 450,000 from the hijack and David Jackson moved all in for 3,770,000 on the button. McGuinness hit the tank and after several minutes, Jackson called clock on McGuinness who now had 30-seconds to act.

McGuinness elected to throw his hand into the muck at the end of that time and Jackson took down the pot, taking back some of the chips he just lost to McGuinness.

McGuinness Doubles Thru Jackson

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
John McGuinness
John McGuinness

John McGuinness opened for 450,000 from the hijack, getting called by David Jackson (button) and the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and the big blind checked, McGuinness fired 750,000, Jackson tossed in a raise, the blind folded, and McGuinness jammed for 6.37 million total. Jackson snap-called and showed his {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for top pair. He was ahead, but McGuinness' {a-Spades}{7-Spades} had a lot of outs with the flush draw and overcard.

The {2-Spades} on the turn completed his flush and Jackson was drawing dead, so the {9-Hearts} river was irrelevant. McGuinness dragged the huge pot, doubling to 14.39 million.

David Jackson watched his stack shrink to roughly 3.6 million.
