After the curious case of his stack disappearing during the dinner break, D.J. Mackinnon never became frazzled or frustrated, trusting that the situation would be equitably resolved.
Mackinnon persevered through the commotion to survive Day 1b, and weaved his way through Day 2 to make an appearance here today. Although he recently went bust, Mackinnon issued a postmortem tweet that showed he still has a sense of humor about the situation involving his missing stack:
Finally eliminated #WPTBorgata for real, got absurdly short and finally busted 81st JT < AA aipf for $7300Follow @djmacjr

Here is the payout information for the players who min-cashed or more before busting out.
Eugene Fouksman got the last of his stack in the middle holding , but he was quickly put at risk when Kunal Patel moved in over the top for the isolation move. Fouksman's jack kicker was in bad shape against Patel's , but when the flop rolled out he took the lead with top two pair.
The on the turn changed nothing, and Fouksman was one card away from a come-from-behind victory to preserve his tournament life.
River:
Just like that, the best hand before the flop - which had trailed through fourth street - was suddenly catapulted back in front. Fouksman shot of his chair and shouted at the sight of the dreaded three-outer, even though it had been a three-out shot that brought him back from the brink in the first place. Fouksman finished in 83rd place and earned a decent cash, but having to walk by the trophy he came to claim after a bad beat did not leave him looking satisfied with the result.

The turn brought a , and Hong checked. Reslock fired 150,000. Hong leaned back in his seat and thought for a couple of minutes before announcing that he was all in.
