Vladislav Mezheritsky opened for 175,000 from the hijack and only David Choi came along, calling to defend his small blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Choi led out for 150,000, with Mezheritsky flatting to take the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Both players checked fourth street down and the river card came {2-Clubs}.

Choi opted to try and take the pot away with a 350,000 wager, but Mezheritsky wasted little time in looking him up. Choi instantly tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for pure air, and Mezheritsky rolled over the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the winner.

"Good thing clubs didn't come..." remarked Mezheritsky as the pot was pushed his way, knowing that if a flush had fallen he would have as well.
