No Bounty for Shiva This Time

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Olivier Correge
Olivier Correge

We get to the table with over 175,000 in the pot and the board reading {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Olivier Correge from France is all in for 67500 and Shiva Ramnath is contemplating whether to call or not. Olivier is looking directly at Shiva, with a very confident look and posture. Ramnath makes the call with {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for an open ended straight draw and a flush draw. A grimace came over Correge's face despite having the best of it with {K-Hearts}{J-Spades} as he knew Shiva had a ton of outs to send him to the rail.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Olivier scores a huge double up to move over 300,000 in chips while Ramnath takes a big hit and is down to 139,000.

Hip-Hip Ho-ran!

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Bart Dowling - Eliminated
Bart Dowling - Eliminated

After winning what appears to be a 300,000-chip pot, eliminating Bart Dowling, Bob Horan is far and away our chip leader here in Event 2: $550 Black-Chip Bounty NLHE Reentry.

When we arrived at the table, Horan was scooping the pot and the dealer was washing the board. According to the players at the table, Horan flopped a set of threes against Dowling's top pair with a flush draw.

Horan was apologizing to the table for tanking even though he had a very strong hand.

"I thought he had a set of eights," he admitted.

Dowling was unable to complete his flush draw or hit running cards, and is eliminated shy of the money. Horan has what looks like 370,000 chips.

Wight Out

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Faced with a raise to 10,000 and a call from Herald Barber, Pauline Wightman moved all in for 22,000. The original raiser re-raised to 50,000, and Barber folded.

Wightman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The flop fell {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, giving Wightman a gut-shot straight draw to go with her two overs, and the {k-Spades} on the turn gave her a leading pair of kings. The {4-Clubs} on the river was an insignificant card, and Wightman more than doubled to 60,000 chips.

Barber has chipped up recently, and has 216,000.

Shiva Ramnath
Shiva Ramnath

Shiva Ramnath is knocking people out left and right. He's already collected ten $100 bounties. Even if he doesn't make the money, he's going to turn a profit. Odds are he'll add to that $1,000, however, as he is the clear chip leader at this point with 315,000 in chips.

Ostrander Doubles

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Greg Ostrander was all in and in trouble with {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} against an opponent's {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, but picked a few extra outs on a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. The {j-Clubs} on the turn was a brick, leaving Ostrander was just six outs, and the {5-Spades} on the river was one of them.

Ostrander's set of fives doubled him to 95,000, and kept him in contention for now.
