A Classic Flip
Level 18
: 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
After Joe McKeehen was kind enough to inform us that "a classic flip" was brewing over at his table, we headed over to catch Andrew Jeffrey's last hand of the tournament.
Jeffrey began the day as the short stack and needed to find a quick double in order to make a run at the final table. When he looked down to find in the big blind, and an open to 13,000 from chip leader Mike Sandler in the hijack already made, his decision was an easy one.
Jeffrey three-bet shoved for his last 56,000 and Sandler made the call with to put him at risk. The final board ran out and Sandler called the right side of the coin to notch the knockout, sending Jeffrey to the rail with a 13th place finish.
