On the flop Jim Boyd and Ken Hobson played for all the marbles, with Hobson's last 22,900 at risk and Boyd barely having him covered.
When his bet was called Boyd stood to table his - good for two pair - but he was dismayed to see Hobson roll over the for a flopped set of sixes.
"That's the hand I was afraid of..." said Boyd when he saw the bad news. "Good hand sir."
The turn () and river () changed nothing, leaving Boyd with a micro-stack with which to mount a comeback. Just two hands later, Boyd's last few chips were claimed and he headed out of the tournament area.
