Big Double for DeVore

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Sundiata DeVore
Sundiata DeVore

Sundiata DeVore opened to 160,000 under-the-gun and action folded around to Ivan Galinec in the small blind who then decided to just rip his entire stack of 2,735,000 into the pot.

Johann Ibanez in the big blind thought about it for a second but ended up folding but then DeVore made the call, putting himself at risk.

Sundiata DeVore: AK
Ivan Galinec: JJ

"Well, that's not what you wanted to see!" Tablemate Stephen Song joked to DeVore, who nodded in agreement.

But his tune quickly changed when the flop came 1010K to give him the lead.

"Now that's what I want to see!" he said as the board ran out 73 to secure his victory for the huge double-up while Galinec was now the one left short.

Jun Hao Wu Eliminated in 16th Place ($28,334)

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jun Hao Wu
Jun Hao Wu

Jun Hao Wu moved all in from the small blind for 490,000 and action was then on Kevin Berthelsen in the big blind. After confirming the amount, Berthelson made the call and the cards were tabled with Wu at risk.

Jun Hao Wu: K9
Kevin Berthelsen: A2

Wu needed some help from the board to catch up to Berthelson's ace high, but the flop was not his friend as it came A27 to immediately give his opponent two-pair.

The A on the turn sealed his fate as Berthelson hit a full house and the meaningless Q came on the river as Wu made his way to the exit.

Jeffrey Stellwagon
Jeffrey Stellwagon

Big stack Johann Ibanez opened to 125,000 but then short-stacked Jeffrey Stellwagon moved all in for 780,000. Ibanez thought for a moment before making the call to put Stellwagon at risk of elimination.

Jeffrey Stellwagon: A10
Johann Ibanez: K10

Jeffrey Stellwagon was in a great position to double up as he had his opponent dominated, but the poker gods did not agree with him as the flop came out K6K to give Ibanez trip kings right out of the gate.

The turn 2 left Stellwagon drawing dead and the meaningless6 completed the board as Stellwagon headed to the payout desk in 17th place.

Fabrice Bigot opened to 125,000 and then was raised to 500,000 by big stack Mo Zhou. Action folded back around to Bogot who then ripped it all in for around 2,000,000. Zhou thought about it for just a second before he made the call to put him at risk as the cards were tabled.

Fabrice Bigot: JJ
Mo Zhou: AK

Bigot was ahead in this classic flip, but the flop of KQ4 was not his friend as it gave the lead to Zhou. The A on the turn further improved him to two pair and the Q on the river completed the board to award Zhao the pot, eliminating Bigot in 18th place.

Matthew Lambrecht bet 450,000 preflop (a virtual all-in), leaving himself with only 30,000 behind and after a couple of seconds, Emanuele Gugliuzza just called.

The flop came out 10A8 and Gugliuzza moved all in to cover Lambrecht.

"I'm probably not folding," Lambrecht said as he spread all of his time banks out in front of him.

After he used several of them, he decided to rip off the bandaid and made the call to put himself at risk.

Matthew Lambrecht: 66
Emanuele Gugliuzza: A7

Lambrecht was going to need to hit a six to stay alive, but the runout of JK did not do it for him and he was eliminated in 22nd place.
