Carroll Gets a Do-over to Avoid Elimination
After a preflop-raising war that saw Thomas Carroll and Geoffrey Blum each get 8,000 in the middle before a flop of 
, Carroll moved his last 10,700 in from the hijack, putting Blum to a decision in the cutoff.
Carroll was chatty with Blum as he pondered his decision, telling Blum he'd show him a card, that he'd let Blum pick the card, and finally telling Blum, "if you want to ride the turnpike, you've gotta pay the toll."
Blum ultimately chose to call and he was in great shape to send Carroll to the rail early.

Blum's jacks were ahead of Carroll's eights, but there was more drama to come.
In the time that Blum was making his decision, the dealer placed the burn card for the turn next to the other burn cards, then mistakenly burned a second card before placing the

The dealer realized his mistake and called the floor. The was pulled from the board and would become the river burn card. What should have been the turn card was retrieved and placed on the board as the new and correct turn card... it was the 
, giving Carroll trips!

fell on the river and Caroll excitedly repeated his phrase, "if you want to ride the turnpike, you've gotta pay the toll" as the pot was pushed his way, while Blum was left shaking his head at his misfortune.
