Trips for Raio

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Nick Raio opened to 12,000 on the button and Edward Mroczkowski defended out of the big blind.

Mroczkowski checked on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Raio checked back. Mroczkowski led out for 12,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn and Raio called.

Mroczkowski then checked on the {k-Spades} river and Raio bet 40,000. Mroczkowski folded, and Raio showed he had it by flipping over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for trip kings.

Sahbudak Eliminates Crenan; Lee Spikes River to Triple

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Azad Sahbudak limped in from middle position and Jesse Crenan went all-in with a stack of about 80,000. The action folded to Jason Lee in the small blind, who re-shoved a stack of 27,000. Sahbudak tanked when the action came back around to him and eventually put in a reluctant call with both opponents covered.

Jason Lee: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Jesse Crenan: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Azad Sahbudak: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

"C'mon, man! How do you not fold?" Crenan whined when he saw he was dominated.

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for Lee to spike a ten on the river to triple up, while the side pot went to Sahbudak and Crenan was eliminated.

Darnell Elminated by Scrogins

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mary Darnell raised all-in with a stack of around 186,000 Ben Scrogins called with a bigger stack.

Mary Darnell: {10-}{10-}
Ben Scrogins: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Darnell was in great shape to double up until the flop came {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts} to pair Scrogins' ace and Darnell was drawing dead after the {3-Diamonds} turn as another player at the table had folded a ten. The river brought the inconsequential {6-Clubs} and the opening event champion was eliminated.
