Howard Pushes Out His Opponent
Taylor Howard opened the action with a raise to 500 in middle position and received three calls from players in the hijack, on the button, and in the small blind. Action checked through the flop .
The turn was and action checked to the player on the button, who announced a bet of 800. The small blind folded and then Taylor check-raised to 2,100, receiving a fold from the hijack before his final opponent put in chips to call.
The river fell and Howard thought for about 30 seconds before reaching for chips and going all in for his opponent's effective stack of just under 20,000. The player on the button took about 10 seconds to think, and then sent his cards to the muck.
"Did you have an ace?" asked Howard as the dealer sent him the pot. His opponent nodded, to which Howard ultimately ceded that he had ace-queen and was trying to push his opponent off of a chop.
