Just moments after the final two tables were reached, James Calderaro was seen over at the payout desk having been eliminated. Meanwhile, Scott Stewart's stack had grown. Stewart confirmed that he finished the deed, raising and calling a re-shove of around 500,000 from Calderaro.

Stewart and Calderaro Go At It; Two Tables Reached

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Scott Stewart
Scott Stewart

Scott Stewart opened to 55,000 on the button and received calls from both Matt Mauldin in the small blind and James Calderaro, defending his big blind. Mauldin checked the flop {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Calderaro bet 80,000. Stewart called and Mauldin folded.

Heads-up action checked through the turn {6-Clubs} and the river came {9-Diamonds}. Calderaro checked.

"One-(hundred and) forty," said Stewart, tossing out a matching amount of chips. Calderaro thought for a moment.

"You got seven-eight? asked Calderaro.

"No," replied Stewart immediately. Silence ensued for a bit. "You think I'd raise the button with seven-eight?" asked Stewart.

"Yes," said Calderaro.

"You're not wrong," Stewart said. Some more exchange occurred, with Calderaro saying that he thought Stewart was going to get him to pay. He announced that he was going back and forth with his decision and eventually found a call. Stewart immediately tabled {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} in a manner where he knew he was good, and Calderaro acknowledged as much as he looked back at his cards, chiding the river.

"Queen-jack," said Stewart, almost certain of what Calderaro had. Calderaro tossed {q-}{j-} onto the center of the table and it was displayed for a split second before the dealer scooped it up to begin the shuffle for the next hand.

"God damn, you luck box bitch! That's the only way you could beat me!"

On the next hand, Calderaro doubled Thad McNulty with ace-five to McNulty's sixes to bring stacks to their current values as two tables remain due to the elimination of Jeff Klein on an adjacent table.

Tabor Gets The Rest Of Oh's Stack

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Samuel Oh
Samuel Oh

Samuel Oh was in the big blind and down to his last few big blinds after posting the ante. Chuck Tabor opened on the button and the two got it in for Oh's tournament life.

Samuel Oh: {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Chuck Tabor: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}

Oh's outs were cut from six to four on the flop {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}, and the turn {9-Diamonds} and river {2-Diamonds} changed nothing.

"Good luck, guys," Oh wished the table and then made his way to receive his 18th-place payout, good for $7,711.

Tabor Rides A Heater; Slay Falls

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Chuck Tabor
Chuck Tabor

Kelly Slay was down to her last 150,000 or so and open-jammed under the gun. Chuck Tabor called on her direct left, prompting all players left in the hand to fold.

Kelly Slay: {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Chuck Tabor: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Slay connected with the flop {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and stayed ahead on the turn {7-Clubs}, but the river {8-Spades} fell behind to complete the runout and give Tabor a set.

"Ah!" sighed Slay as the river hit, seeing the bad news. Several players at the table congratulated her on a great run and told her it was a pleasure to play with her. "It was a pleasure playing with y'all!" Slay added and headed to the payouts.

The won pot was the second in a short blast of hands for Tabor, as he had just doubled through tablemate Samuel Oh moments prior. He now has 655,000.
