Murray Makes the Right Fold, Bedot's Stack Keeps Rising

Level 20 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Liam Murray
Liam Murray

Reece Bedot opened from early position, and Liam Murray responded with a three-bet from the button. Bedot came back with a four-bet to 460,000, which Murray called to see a flop.

The dealer spread 4102, and Bedot continued the aggression with a bet of 325,000. Murray called again, and the A peeled off on the turn.

Without hesitation, Bedot shoved, putting Murray to the test for his remaining 325,000.

"Sorry guys, I usually play fast, but I’m gonna need some time with this one," said Murray as he leaned back and mulled over the spot.

Minutes passed before Murray broke the silence: "You normally show... this time, I'm asking you to show."

"I’ll show," Bedot replied.

That was enough. Murray eventually let it go, tabling QQ as he folded. Bedot, true to his word, rolled over KK.

“You got lucky on the turn,” Bedot muttered as he scooped the pot with a grin.

Amiri Sends Two to the Rail

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Ehsan Amiri
Ehsan Amiri

The preflop action was missed but Joshua McSwiney had his stack of around 900,000 in the middle from the button and a player in the small blind had committed his stack of around 200,000. Ehsan Amiri was under the gun and had both players at risk.

Small Blind: 98 All in
Joshua McSwiney: AK All in
Ehsan Amiri: AJ

McSwiney had a great chance to bring his stack north of 2,000,000 but had a bump in the road when the 5J7 flop paired Amiri's jack. Neither the 5 turn nor 4 river changed the outcome of the hand, and Amiri scored a double knockout

Matthew Rolfe
Matthew Rolfe

Matthew Rolfe had his stack of around 900,000 in the middle and Wai Au had called to put him at risk.

Matthew Rolfe: QQ All in
Wai Au: AQ

Rolfe had a big lead and picked up a flush on the monotone 234 flop, but Au did add some outs with a gutshot. That straight draw came on on the 5 turn, giving Au the lead. Rolfe could still double with a heart on the river, but there was no love for him as the 2 rolled off, sending him out in 24th.

Fabian Gumz

Fabian Gumz ripped in his stack of 325,000 from middle position and when it got Reece Bedot on the button, he slammed a big stack of purple chips, worth 100,000 each, into the pot to isolate.

Fabian Gumz: A2 All in
Reece Bedot: AQ All in

Gumz was in trouble and was already standing up after the 3Q6 flop landed on the table. The 99 runout didn't give Gumz any miracle, and he was out in 23rd.

Zhen Chen Eliminated in 22nd Place (A$7,800)

Level 22 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Mitch Webster opened the button and then called the shove of Zhen Chen in the big blind, who shoved around 875,000.

Zhen Chen: A5 All in
Mitch Webster: AQ

Chen was in a world of pain and his situation went from bad to worse as the 1010Q flop gave Webster top pair. An 8 on the turn left Chen drawing dead, and a meaningless 7 filled out the board.

Daniel Neilson
Daniel Neilson

JP Rounce-Sue made it 100,000 from under the gun and Daniel Neilson three-bet to 400,000 from the next seat. When it got back to Rounce-Sue, he made it 1,000,0000. Neilson got up on his chair and then ripped his stack of for around 2,200,000, and Rounce-Sue quickly called.

Daniel Neilson: JJ All in
JP Rounce-Sue: QQ

Neilson was in trouble and Rounce-Sue was on the brink of a very healthy stack. The flop of 8AK offered no help to Neilson, and the 8 turn left him with just two outs to survive. When everybody expected the field to get thinned down by one, the J rolled off on the river, giving Neilson a full house!

"It's an easy game," joked Neilson.
