Liz Lieu called a 7,250 chip bet on the river with the board showing T-9-6-T-4. Her opponent flipped over T-9 for a full house which was too strong for Lieu as she raised her eyebrows, tapped the table and tossed her cards into the muck.
Interestingly her table is currently playing only five-handed, with several late starters failing to arrive as yet. However they still have more chips than Lieu at present as she slips to less than 10,000 chips.
After leading the flop and turn and getting a call each time, Nikola Grgic moved all in on the river on a jack-high board and was called by Shane Moran. Grgic showed pocket kings, but Moran's J-J had flopped a set. Grgic was the day's first elimination, only 20 minutes into the first level of play.
Sweden's Ola Brandborn moved all in on the river. The board was . Steve Z called. Brandborn showed . Steve Z mucked. Brandborn increased his stack to 35,000. Steve Z slipped to 2,500.

2007 Aussie Millions 3rd Place finisher Andy Black has carried forward his form of last year by winning the very first hand of the day.
With the board reading Black fired out a bet of 6,500 on the river and his opponent went into the tank before folding. In a great start to the day, Black rakes in an early pot worth over 18,000 chips!
"I'm at a sick table," metioned Gavin Smith. "It has John Juanda, David Grey, Dag Martin Mikkelsen, and Brandon Schaefer. Brandon busted me last year. I want payback. I'm gonna bust that f----- today!"
Gavin Smith is already talking smack. If you didn't know, Smith took down the celebrity/media event the other night. He won $10,000 which went to charity. As he joked, "I came to Australia and I won the only event where you don't win pirze money."
