Pesek Eliminates Bach; Claims Event 10!
The hand started with Pesek on the button, who completed the bet. David Bach then announced "Pot," making it a total of 24,000 more to call. Pesek cut the required amount of chips from his stack, slid them into the middle and made the call.
The flop came and Bach, first to act, led out with a pot-sized bet of 72,000. Pesek took one last look at his cards before raising the pot. Pesek's bet sent Bach into the tank and he counted and recounted his chips before eventually saying, "I call."
At the showdown, Bach tabled for a gut-shot straight draw and a heap of overcards. Pesek showed for top two pair.
After the cards were tabled, Pesek stood up out of his seat to sweat the last two cards, but the that fell on the turn made him sit right back down, as it gave Bach the nut straight and left Pesek drawing to four outs for a full boat.
Amazingly, the popped off on the river giving Pesek sixes full of sevens to outdraw Bach's straight and earned Pesek the title.
