Xerri Flops Top Two

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Martin Jacobson started the hand with a raise to 500 from the hijack, and he received calls from all players behind him.

The five-way contest went to the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop where the player on the button fired 1,500. Small blind Alan Xerri check-raised to 5,875, forcing folds from Igor Yarshevskyy, Jacobson, and Camil Debsia. The button stuck around, calling.

Both remaining players slowed down when the {7-Hearts} landed on the turn, completing a flush draw. Neither of the players was willing to risk more chips and they checked the {4-Clubs} river as well.

Xerri turned up {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a flopped top two pair and his hand was strong enough as the other player revealed an inferior two-pair hand with {a-}{6-}.

Knockout for Bulychev

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

There was massive preflop action with one player having a T5,000 chip in front of him in the cutoff, the small blind all in for about 16,000 and big blind Egor Bulychev contemplating his move. He shoved as well covering the all-in player, and the third player tanked more than a minute and folded.

Bulychev: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Small blind: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Nobody had the blades, so Bulychev's kings were good for the moment. A board of {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} changed nothing and sent the pot his way.

Yockey Takes a Big One

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

In a battle of late positions, Bryce Yockey was on the button with the action brewing on the turn reading {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Yockey's neighbor checked and Yockey cut out a bet of 7,500 into about 12,000. The other player wasn't willing to pay the price and Yockey claimed the pot.

Engel Drops One to Spindler

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ari Engel checked from the big blind with 5,000 or so in the middle and {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on the felt. Benny Spindler thought a bit from the button and bet 3,000. Engel took about a minute then released.

Despite the setback, Engel finds himself well above the starting stack in the early going.

Lehmanski Adds to His Piles

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Max Lehmanski
Max Lehmanski

German player Max Lehmanski has been off to a strong start in the Main Event. Lehmanski was just seen taking down another sizeable pot which had started with a raise to 700 from under the gun. Lehmanski acted next and he three-bet to 1,700, only to attract two cold calls from the blinds. The initial raiser let his hand go and the action continued three-handed to the flop.

The flop came down {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Lehmanski fired 1,600 in position. The small blind called and big blind gave up.

Lehmanski faced a 2,200-lead on the {4-Clubs} turn and he called to see the river.

The {7-Diamonds} hit the felt and Lehmanski called another 5,000 to force his opponent to show air with {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. Lehmanski didn't have much himself, but his {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} was by far the best hand and he climbed to around 83,000.

Kramer Forces Out Fielder

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts} turn, Jeff Fielder checked from an early position to his left-hand neighbor [Removed:172]. Kramer priced the river card at 1,550 and Fiedler accepted the wager.

The {8-Clubs} hit the felt and Fielder checked again. Kramer bet 3,800 and Fielder seemed to be tempted to call. Nonetheless, he eventually laid his hand down and Kramer scooped the pot. Fielder tapped the felt for the universal sign of "nice hand", and the play moved on.

Fielder, despite losing some chips in the aforementioned hand, continued with 48,500, one of the bigger stacks in the tournament.

Hachem Leads the River

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Joe Hachem was in the cutoff, facing off against an opponent on his left in what seemed to be a three-bet pot.

They checked the {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop and Hachem checked again on the {j-Diamonds} turn. His opponent bet 700 into 1,750 and Hachem called.

The {10-Spades} paired the board and filled the flush draw, and Hachem decided to lead for 2,500. The other player couldn't force himself to call, folding {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} face up.

Gill and Engel Tangle in a Four-Bet Pot

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Ari Engel made it 300 in a middle position and Oliver Gill countered, three-betting to 1,100 from the cutoff. The action returned to the 2016 Aussie Millions Main Event champ who four-bet to 3,500. Gill flatted to see the flop.

The dealer rolled out {j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Engel continued for 2,500. Gill, however, made it 6,000 and Engel decided to let his hand go.
