Del Vecchio Keeps Tumbling Down

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

It's been a level to forget for Mike Del Vecchio as the start of Day 4 chipleader just lost another sizable pot against Espen Solaas. It was Artur Koren who came in with a raise to 50,000 from the cutoff. Solaas called on the button and Del Vecchio got in from the big blind.

The {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop got checked to Solaas, who bet 52,000. Del Vecchio check-raised to 124,000, Koren folded and Solaas called. The {3-Hearts} rolled off on the turn and both players checked.

On the {K-Diamonds} river, Del Vecchio checked again. Solaas bet 175,000 and the American faced another tough decision. He opted to call after a solid minute of thought but once again got shown bad news: Solaas held {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for trip fives to drag the pot.
