Demlakian Lets One Go Before Being Caught Out

We caught the action on the turn in a hand involving 2016 PCA final tablist Ken Demlakian and an opponent sitting in the big blind.

There looked to be roughly 1,000 in the pot with the board reading and Demlakian had just bet 400 from the button. The big blind check-raised to 1,500 and Demlakian thought it over for a little bit.

“I’ll let you have that one friend,” said Demlakian, pitching his cards into the muck.

The next hand was dealt speedily and following a raise to 400 from middle position and a call from a player in the hijack Demlakian decided to three-bet to 1,400 from the cutoff.

Both other players make the call and the action went three-way to a flop of . All three players checked taking the play to the turn.

After both, the other players checked Demlakian led out for 2,300. The original raiser thought it over and called but the hijack folded taking play heads-up to the river.

This brought another check from the original raiser and Demlakian fired again, leading out for 4,300. Demlakian’s opponent did not look happy about it but did make the call.
