Tomas Jozonis Eliminated in 9th Place (A$95,760)

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon Adams is on a role, just now he busted short stack Tomas Jozonis. This confrontation too was pre flop as Adams turned over {A-Clubs}{9-Spades} and was up against Tomas Jozonis's {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Jozonis made his way to the exit.

Down to eight players now, two tables of four. The tables merge when one more players busts.

Rajkumar Ramakrishnan Eliminated in 10th Place (A$95,760)

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Rajkumar Ramakrishnan has been eliminated. He once again got a big hand but this time it would not hold up.

He got it all in before the flop with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} from the small blind for his last 150,000 or so. He was up against the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} of big blind Brandon Adams.

The {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop and {J-Diamonds} turn were still good for Ramakrishnan but the {K-Hearts} on the river did him in.

[Removed:17] Eliminated in 11th Place (A$79,800)

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We caught the action on the flop as [Removed:17] checked from the big blind on {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Pratyush Buddiga, in the hijack and presumably the initial raiser, bet 35,000. Yan check-raised to 100,000, leaving himself about 30,000 behind. Buddiga shoved and Yan called.

[Removed:17]: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Pratyush Buddiga: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {10-Clubs} on the turn and {6-Spades} on the river did not help the Kiwi and Buddiga could start stacking.

Cate Hall Eliminated in 13th Place (A$63,840)

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Cate Hall
Cate Hall

For a long time, Cate Hall was the shortest player in the field. She did not bubble however, as Claas Segebrecht busted in a blind battle so Hall made the money.

She chopped with a dominated ace making a shared straight on the river, but not much later she ran out of luck anyway.

Ryan D'Angelo raised to 22,000 and saw Cate Hall behind her shove for 72,000. Action folded back around to D'Angelo who did not hesitate before he called.

Ryan D'Angelo: {J-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Cate Hall: {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, making Hall and D'Angelo swap the cards they wanted to hit. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and {4-Clubs} on the river were blanks and Cate Hall left the tournament in 13th place.

Jeff Rossiter Eliminated in 14th Place (A$63,840)

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jeff Rossiter
Jeff Rossiter

Jeff Rossiter got his stack of about 400,000 or so in before the flop with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Rossiter, seated in the hijack, would face Nick Petrangelo who had {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} on the button.

The {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop did not much for Rossiter but he did pick some additional outs with the {J-Spades} on the turn. The {7-Hearts} on the river was a blank however and Rossiter wasthe first to hit the rail while in the money.

Rossiter, who announced his retirement from poker a couple of months ago and might be playing his last tournament series here this week, takes home A$63,840.

Claas Segebrecht Bubbles the $25,000 Challenge

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Claas Segebrecht
Claas Segebrecht

Action folded to Antoine Saout in the small blind and he raised to 40,000. Big blind Claas Segebrecht shoved for about 265,000 and Saout snap called.

Claas Segebrecht: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Antoine Saout: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

After the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}, things were just about over.

The {9-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal and Segebrecht said his goodbyes. The {A-Spades} on the river did not help him anymore.

Blinds Up

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The tournament organization has decided to unpause the clock and continue on to level 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000-ante. If the end of this level is reached without the bubble having burst, the clock will be paused again.

Level: 16

Blinds: 5,000/10,000

Ante: 1,000

Clock Paused

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The level was supposed to go up to 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000-ante, but the tournament organization has decided to pause the clock while the bubble is going on. So still 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000-ante.
