Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Pheap Chea raised to 5,100 from middle position only to have Victor Li three-bet jam from the hijack for roughly 40,000. Action folded back to Chea and he made the call.

Chea: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Li: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

"Any Picture Card Will Do"

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Mazyar Misaghian opened for 5,200 from middle position only to have John Beveridge three-bet all in for 35,100 more from the button. Both blinds folded and Misaghian thought for a bit before making the call.

Misaghian: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Beveridge: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Beveridge got it in good, but Misaghian was drawing to two live cards.

"Any picture card will do," Misaghian said after the flop came down {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The dealer obliged and out out the {K-Spades} on the turn.

Beveridge needed an ace on the river to stay alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the {Q-Spades} bricked.

"Nice hand sir," Beveridge offered before shaking Misaghian's hand and exiting the tournament floor.

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

From early position, James Broom raised to 5,500. Jessica Dawley, who once put together a 17th-place run in this event for AU$75,000 in 2010, was in the next seat and reraised to 12,000. Kolonias Pulls Out a River Check-Raise

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We just caught Nick Yunis in a hand versus Alexandros Kolonias when the flop showed {3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}. Kolonias checked from the big blind to Yunis, who opted to check behind.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and Kolonias checked again, after which Yunis bet 4,700. Kolonias made the call, and on the river the board completed with the {6-Spades}.

Kolonias checked a third time, and Yunis now bet 7,500. Kolonias check-raised to 22,000 and Yunis did not seem happy, as he tanked for a bit before folding his cards.

Kolonias mucked his cards, and he raked in the pot.

Nagi: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Urbanovich Keeps the Pressure On

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Greg Goldberg opened for 5,600 from the button and Dzmitry Urbanovich three-bet to 18,200 from the big blind. Goldberg made the call and the two saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Urbanovich bet 13,600, Goldberg called, and the {2-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Urbanovich bet again, this time 26,100, but he couldn't shake Goldberg, who called to see the {8-Spades} river.

In Lieu of Chips, Lieu Gets a Place on the Rail

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Fabian Quoss opened to 5,500 from under the gun plus one and Robert Lieu shoved all in for his last 9,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Quoss and he called.

Fabian Quoss: {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Robert Lieu: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, helping Quoss in front. The {Q-Hearts} on the turn gave Lieu a flush draw, but the {6-Spades} on the river blanked and Lieu hit the rail.

"Too Many Outs"

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

A short-stacked Victor Chong open-shipped for 24,700 from middle position and action folded to Richard Bruning, who called from the big blind.

Chong: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Bruning: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Chong was ahead, but despite pairing his ten on the {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, he was in trouble as Bruning picked up both an open-ended straight and a flush draw. He completed the former on the {6-Diamonds} turn, which left Chong drawing to a chop. That didn't happen though as the {4-Spades} blanked on the river.

"Too many outs," Bruning offered as Chong took his leave from the tournament.

Flush Over Straight For Boeree

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Alex Lee just raised from late position to 6,000 and the player on his left called before Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree called from the big blind as well.

The flop brought out {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} and all three players checked, putting the {4-Hearts} on the turn. Boeree checked again, and Lee now bet 8,600, which was only called by Boeree.

On the river the {7-Spades} hit and now Boeree lead out for 14,000. Lee went into the tank for a bit before raising enough to put Boeree all in, and she snap-called for an additional 14,100.

Lee showed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a straight, and Boeree doubled holding {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a flush.
