Silver Drops One

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Max Silver just raised from the button to 250 and both blinds called, putting {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs} out on the flop.

The small blind checked and the big blind lead out for 450, only to get called by Silver.

On the turn the {8-Spades} hit and the big blind lead out for another 800, and Silver called again.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and now both players checked. Silver was shown {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and he lost this pot near the end of the first level.

O'Rourke Found Himself All In Already

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With a structure as good as the Aussie Millions Main Event it's hard to lose all your chips in the first level, but sometimes hands play out in a way that a big clash is inevitable.

On a {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} board Liam O'Rourke bet 2,900 and the player on his left made the call before the third player involved raised it up to 8,000 from the cutoff.

O'Rourke went into the tank for a bit before he announced, "All in," and the man caught in the middle looked back down at his cards before folding.

The raiser called, showing {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and he held the same hand as O'Rourke who tabled {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

"I guess pocket eights weren't good enough," the gentleman said who folded, as his hand would've been live against the two straights.

On the river the {3-Hearts} hit, and the pot was split, putting both players back on the starting stack.

Gill Says He Was Scared

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Oliver Gill
Oliver Gill

On the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, Leo Boxell and Xuan Liu checked to Oliver Gill. Gill bet 700, and both of his opponents made the call.

The turn paired the board with the {A-Clubs}, and Boxell and Liu again checked to Gill. He bet 1,400, which was followed by two folds from his opponents.

"I was scared," said Gill after the pot was pushed his way. "I was scared of that turn."

Gill showed the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for a flopped Broadway straight.

Cohen Drops One

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The board just read {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Spades} when we saw Sam Cohen put out a bet of 3,500, and her opponent went into the tank. After a while Cohen was called down, and she tabled {6-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a missed straight draw.

Cohen's opponent stared at the board, looking to see what Cohen had made, before turning over {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a rivered pair of jacks to claim the pot.
