Dunst Doubles Into the Chip Lead

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Tony Dunst on Day 2
Tony Dunst on Day 2

In the last hand before the break, a huge had took place between WPT Raw Deal host Tony Dunst and Jean-Pascal Savard.

It happened when a player raised from early position and Savard three-bet to 22,000 from middle position. Action folded to Dunst in the big blind, and he opted to pop it to 55,000. The original raiser folded, and Savard thought for a bit before he made the call.

When the flop came down {5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Dunst led out for 48,000 and then snap-called off for 242,000 total after Savard moved all in.

Savard: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Dunst: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"Do you fold kings there?" asked Savard, who was looking to flush up with a diamond.

"Vomit call," replied Dunst, meaning he would have called with kings but wouldn't have been happy about it.

As it was, Dunst was in the lead with top set. The {A-Clubs} turn, while it paired Savard, changed nothing, and neither did the {2-Spades} river. Dunst successfully dodged a diamond and doubled though the big stack.
