Lichtenberger Doubles Sukonthachartnant

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

Andrew Lichtenberger opened for 2,700 from first position and saw his neighbor Sergio Aido three bet to 7,200 from the hijack. Phanlert Sukonthachartnant in the small blind cold called and Lichtenberger came along for the ride as well.

Phanlert Sukonthachartnant, winner of the APPT 2015 Asia Championship of Poker HK$250,000 High Roller in Macau back in november, checked on {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and his example was followed by both Lichtenberger and Aido. The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and Sukonthachartnant bet out 9,500. Lichtenberger raised to 25,000 almost instantly and Aido folded right away. Sukonthachartnant moved all in for 47,300 and Lichtenberger called.

Phanlert Sukonthachartnant: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Andrew Lichtenberger: {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Lichtenberger was drawing dead, no card could save him. The {7-Spades} on the river was dealt by the dealer anyway to make things official, and Lichtenberger handed over half his stack.
