Full House for Tollerene

Level 7 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From under the gun, Ben Tollerene raised to 15,000. David Peters reraised to 42,000 from the cutoff seat, and Tollerene made the call after action folded back around to him.

On the {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, Tollerene checked, Peters bet 37,000, and Tollerene called.

The turn was the {5-Spades}, and both players checked to see the {5-Hearts} pair the board on the river. Tollerene bet 125,000, and Peters made the call.

Tollerene showed the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a full house, and Peters mucked his hand.

McDonald Eliminated

Level 8 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mike McDonald
Mike McDonald

On the feature table, Fabian Quoss raised to 14,000 from the hijack seat with the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Mike McDonald called from the small blind with the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, and Igor Kurganov called from the big blind with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, missing both McDonald and Quoss, but giving Kurganov a set. Action checked around, and the turn was the {4-Diamonds}. McDonald led with a bet of 20,000, Kurganov called, and Quoss folded.

The river completed the board with the {K-Spades} to give McDonald top pair. He led with a bet of 20,000 and had 91,000 behind. Kurganov moved all in, and McDonald tank-called with the losing hand.

The Ladies Love Greenwood

Level 7 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Connor Drinan raised to 15,000 under the gun and David Peters called from the button. Sam Greenwood then three-bet jammed for 119,000 from the small blind, and Drinan got out of the way. Peters thought for a moment and then opted to make the call.

Greenwood: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Peters: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Greenwood was looking to dodge a five, and that's just what he did after the board ran out a clean {3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

From the hijack seat, Steve O'Dwyer raised to 14,000 with the {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Brian Rast reraised to 35,000 from the button with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, and O'Dwyer called.

Tollerene Shoves on Greenwood

Level 7 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Tollerene raised to 15,000 from the button and Sam Greenwood called from the big blind to see a {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop. Greenwood check-called a bet of 16,000 and then both players checked the {9-Spades} turn. When the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Greenwood led out for 40,000 and Tollerene thought for a long time before raising to 300,000, which had Greenwood more than covered.

Greenwood pondered the decision for a minute or so and then released his hand.

Phil Ivey Will Not Be Winning Another LK Boutique $250,000 Challenge Title

Level 7 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Despite getting an early triple up to get back to a six-figure stack, Phil Ivey's 2016 Aussie Millions LK Boutique $250,000 Challenge has come to an end.

Ivey check-raised all in on the {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop with the {8-Spades}{6-Spades} against Ben Tollerene, who made the call with the {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, which helped Ivey pick up a couple more outs with a straight draw, but the river missed him completely with the {Q-Hearts} and Tollerene won the hand.

With that, Ivey's run at back-to-back-to-back titles in this event has come to an end.

Fedor Holz the First to Go

Level 7 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Déjà vu.

We wrote that same headline on Day 1 early on in Level 2. Holz opted to reenter, and his second bullet seemed to go well as he bagged a big stack. Surprisingly, Holz became the first player to bust today.

It happened when Phil Ivey raised to 13,000 from the hijack and Holz called from the button. David Peters came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Two checks saw Holz bet 16,000, Peters called, and Ivey got out of the way.

After the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Spades}, Peters checked and Holz bet again, this time 28,000. Peters woke up with a check-raise to 80,000 and Holz thought long and hard before making the call.

Peters then shoved all in for 240,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river and Holz, who barely had him covered, hit the tank for more than two minutes before making the call. Peters rolled over the {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the flopped straight, which bested the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} of Holz, who was left with just 17,000 after the hand.

In the very next hand, Holz moved all in from the cutoff and Sam Greenwood called from the big blind.

Greenwood: {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Holz: {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to give Greenwood two pair, and just like that Holz was the first to hit the rail.
