Dan Smith is eliminated.
Dan Smith is eliminated.

Dan Smith was all in for 280,000 from the big blind over an open from Phil Ivey from middle position. Ivey snapped it off with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} to have the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} of Smith in bad shape.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, and Smith was out in eighth place. Ivey improved to over 1.8 million.

Polk Over 2 Million

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On the button, Scott Seiver limped in for 20,000. After Isaac Haxton folded from the small blind, Doug Polk raised to 70,000 from the big blind. Seiver called, and the two saw the flop come down {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Polk led for 158,000, and Seiver folded.

Mo Runs Into Pocket Aces

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jason Mo
Jason Mo

Jason Mo shoved his last 275,000 or so all in from middle position and action folded to Scott Seiver, who called from the big blind.

Mo: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Seiver: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Seiver woke up with the granddaddy of all hands, and Mo needed some luck to stay alive. The {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was as dry as could be, and the {J-Diamonds} turn left Mo drawing to a ten. The {K-Clubs} river was not it, and Mo took his leave in ninth place.

With that, the final table is set. The final eight players will now take an hour break and relocate to the Exhibition Hall to play it out at the TV table.

Yong Getting Short Again

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Richard Yong, who took down the Aussie Millions AU$100,000 Challenge two days back, opened for 50,000 from early position and was met by a three-bet to 105,000 by Scott Seiver in the hijack. Action folded back to Yong, who made the call to see the {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop.

Yong checked, Seiver continued for 100,000, and Yong quickly released his hand.
