Ace-High Good for Seidel

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jonathan Duhamel raised to 20,000 in the cutoff, Erik Seidel defended his big blind, and the dealer fanned {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Seidel checked, Duhamel continued for 25,000, and Seidel made the call.

Both players checked after the {j-Clubs} turned, and the {q-Spades} completed the board. Seidel checked a third time, Duhamel bet 48,000, and Seidel grimaced.

The eight-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner stared at the board for a bit then finally reached into his stack, assembling enough chips to make the call. He stacked them put them next the rail, then picked them up and plopped them in front of him.

Duhamel ripped {k-Spades}{5-Spades} over like it was the stone-cold nuts - in reality it was just king-high - and Seidel revealed {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for ace-high.

The two WSOP legends shared a laugh while Seidel pulled in the pot.
