Ivey Eliminates Bloom

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Tony Bloom fired 25,000 on the final board of {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Phil Ivey raised to 75,000, and that was more tan enough to put Bloom all in. After a bit of tanking, Bloom called.

Ivey turned up a full house with the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Bloom scooted his cards forward to muck them, but the dealer turned them over to reveal the {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The rule in nearly all tournaments, and here at the Aussie Millions, is that all all-in showdowns must reveal all hands. Bloom didn't understand why the dealer turned the hand over and got a bit irritated.

The floor came over to explain the ruling to Bloom, although Bloom still seemed upset about the course of action after he left the table. He was seen discussing the situation with other members of Crown's tournament staff for a couple minutes after busting, and it seemed he was seeking the official ruling and the reason behind the ruling.

At any rate, Bloom was eliminated while Ivey climbed to 440,000 in chips.
