Gruissem Doubles Through Quoss

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On the very next hand after he three-bet Erik Seidel to win the pot preflop, Fabian Quoss opened with a raise from the cutoff seat to 16,000. Action folded over to Philipp Gruissem in the big blind, and he made it 44,000 to go. Quoss announced that he was all in, and Gruissem snapped it off.

Gruissem tabled the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, which was dominating the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} that Quoss held. Still, the five community cards could easily give Quoss the win if the run out was in his favor.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Quoss was still behind. After the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn, Quoss was looking for a jack on the river. The river was the {2-Spades}, though, and Gruissem successfully held to earn the double.
