It's Time To Play Down To A Final Table

It all started six days ago and now here we are on Day 5 of the 2012 Aussie Millions Main Event, with only 12 players returning to the felt with a chance at making poker history. Who's the player with the best chance at making history, you ask? Well that would be Yann Dion, with the Canadian returning as a clear chip leader.

There were 26 players still in with a chance yesterday, but of course, they can't all be winners and that number was dwindled down to the two tables of six who will return today. Trailing Dion with a large chip stack is Bjorn Li, while Mohamad Kowssarie and Karim Jomeen round out the players who will return with chip stacks in excess of 2,000,000.

Taking to the felt today with plenty of chips to scare and a poker resume that frightens is Dion's fellow Canadian, Daniel Idema. No stranger to poker on the big stage, Idema took down the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship at the 2011 WSOP.

Another player who knows what it takes to win big poker tournaments is Lee Nelson and he will return with the 6th biggest chip stack. Nelson won this very tournament in 2006 and with his nickname being "Final Table", there is no doubt he will be looking to uphold that moniker.

It seems to be Oliver Speidel who is the hungriest for a title at this year's Aussie Millions, with the Australian already making two final tables in the last couple of weeks. An amazing effort to even make it this far, Speidel will be looking to add another final table to his resume.

While he may be returning with the shortest chip stack, he is definitely the player that all the railbirds will be watching. Phil Ivey needs no introduction and thus this paragraph will end here and we will now show you the Day 5 table draw.
