Trickett v. Smith
We wish we'd seen the early action in this hand, but we only walked up to the turn of a board to see Sam Trickett and Dan Smith mixed up in a heads-up pot. On that street, Trickett led out with a bet of 2,400 into a pot of about 3,200, and Smith made a contemplative call to see the last card.
"Can you push it forward?" the dealer asked Trickett. The bet was fairly near the middle of the table if we're honest, and Trickett took a bit of grumpy exception, snapping back with a quiet comment of frustration and reaching out farther than the dealer would have needed to flick his bet further toward the pot. "Can you reach his?" he asked sarcastically about Smith's bet from the nine seat. The dealer scooped in the chips.
In any event, the filled out the board, and Trickett gave up. He checked, then snap-folded when Smith made the river bet.
Hopefully that vigorous massage Trickett is in the midst of will cheer him up a bit. Both he and Smith are up a bit from their starting stacks.
