Drewe Done and Dusted
Action folded to Martin Drewe in the cutoff and he put in a raise to 2,400, which the player on the button called. The small blind got out of the way, and the big blind opted to move all in for 28,400 more. Drewe wasted little time in moving all in over the top, forcing the button out of the hand.
Showdown
Drewe:
Big Blind:
"No ten," the button said prior to the flop, indicating he had folded pocket tens. Much to his dismay, the flop came down . While it was a missed opportunity for the button, it was disaster for Drewe as his opponent had flopped a set. The turn left Drewe drawing dead as the was put out on the river for good measure.
Drewe was left with just 3,000 chips after the hands, which disappeared the very next hand. While the defending champ has been eliminated, all hope is not lost as he is still able to reenter in the following two flight.
