Gazza's Hanging in There

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Gary Ablett Jr. is still hanging around the 30,000-chip mark, but it could have been a lot bigger had he got a little more aggressive against John Eames.

The action folded to Eames who raised to 1,600 from the small blind and Ablett called from the big blind to go heads-up to a flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}. Eames led out for 2,000 and Ablett called, then after Eames checked the turn of the {6-Diamonds}, Ablett fired out 6,000, leaving about 10,000 behind.

Eames thought about it for a minute or so before calling, then checked his option on the river of the {2-Spades}. Ablett went into the tank for over two minutes before checking and rolling up {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for trip tens. Eames mucked his hand, but he's still looking good with a stack worth more than 42,000.

According to our field reporter, Ablett is looking quite nervous out there. We can't say we don't blame him, given that he's on a table that includes Patrik Antonius and Barny Boatman. Time to show some of that aggression that you're famous for out on the footy field, Gazza!
