Menz Wins Battle of the Blinds

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On the {J-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{A-Spades} flop we found Hiren Patel leading for 18,000 with his fellow blind compatriot David Menz calling from the big.

Patel continued for 46,000 when the {7-Hearts} landed on the turn as Menz again smooth-called before both players checked the {3-Spades} on the river.

Patel tabled his {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for the third-nut no-hand as Menz's {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} would see him collect the pot and move to 300,000.

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We caught up with the action on the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades} between Jeff Rossiter and Howard Lederer. When we got to the table, Lederer had 55,000 in front of him as a bet and Rossiter had moved in for 243,000. After a couple minutes in the tank, Lederer folded and was left with 150,000. Rossiter moved to 375,000 and it wasn't without showing the {7-Diamonds} to Lederer after he mucked.

Lindgren's Check-Raise Doesn't Work

Erick Lindgren raised from under the gun to 14,000 and Michael Ryan reraised to 35,000 from the button. Lindgren made the call and the flop came down {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Lindgren checked and Ryan bet 36,000. Lindgren tried a check-raise to 90,000, but Ryan came right back with a reraise to 186,000 and forced a fold from the the Team Full Tilt Poker member.

Howard Lederer - 34th Place

With the action folding to Sam Razavi in the small blind, he shipped in his last 183,000 and Howard Lederer made the call from the big.

Razavi: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Lederer: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

With Lederer the at risk player, the {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop changed little until the {6-Clubs} paired on the turn giving Lederer an additional six outs to counterfeit Razavi's small pair.

Unfortunately for the Team Full Tilt Poker member, the {5-Spades} missed him on the river to see Lederer exit in thirty-fourth place for an AUD$30,000 payday.
