Nuts for Mizzi

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With the board reading {Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Sorel Mizzi check-called 28,000 from the big blind before tapping the table once again when the {J-Diamonds} landed.

His lone opponent in the hand - Hiren Patel - fired out 56,000 on the river before Mizzi check-raised to 160,000.

Patel made the call, but quickly mucked when shown the {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} of Mizzi for the stone-cold nuts!

Mizzi is now up to 620,000 while Patel slips to 420,000.

Stavropoulos Doubles with Nines

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From middle position, Cliff Lee raised to 13,000. Matthew Kirk flat-called from the cutoff seat and Manny Rodrigues called from the button. Manny Stavropoulos reraised all in from the big blind for 78,000. Lee folded and Kirk made the call. Rodrigues also folded.

Kirk: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Stavropoulos: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and kept the nines in front for Stavropoulos. He doubled up while Kirk dropped back to 340,000.

Freymann Out After Losing Flip

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:248] was all in for 228,000 with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. He was up against Tyler Bonkowski who held the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. A standard flip it was with Freymann's life on the line.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and kept the queens for Bonkowski in the lead. He also held on the {10-Diamonds} turn. The dealer dealt the {8-Hearts} on the river and that ended the hand, sending Freymann to the rail and moving Bonkowski to 690,000.
