Small One for Montgomery

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Scott Montgomery entered the pot from the hi-jack with a raise to 60,000 and only Vito Dalessandri made the call from the big blind.

Both players tapped the table as the {6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop fell before Montgomery slid out a 60,000-chip bet.

Dalessandri folded, and Montgomery comfortably collected the pot to move to 720,000 in chips.

Spadey Spade

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Folded to Jonathan Palmer in the small blind, he put in a raise to 55,000. Darren Kramer called and we would see a flop.

Flop: {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Palmer led out for 72,000. Kramer smooths and a card to come.

Turn: {8-Spades}

This time Palmer checks. Kramer then becomes the aggressor with a bet of 115,000. A call from Palmer and the last card would be turned over.

River: {9-Spades}

The fourth spade slowing down the two plays as they both checked and turned their cards over. Palmer tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, not good enough for the turned flush of Kramer, showing {4-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Drewe Soars to Lead

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Martin Drewe opened to 40,000 from early position and only Gabriel Xiourouppa made the call from the big blind.

On a {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, Xiourouppa check-called 90,000 as the {2-Clubs} on the turn was greeted by a bet of 200,000 from Drewe.

Xiourouppa instantly made the call as the {7-Diamonds} landed on the river and the action checked to Drewe.

Quietly, the New South Welshman announced he was all in, and after nearly three minutes of deliberating, Xiourouppa folded while slipping to 580,000 as Drewe collected the pot to move to 1,620,000 in chips.

Three Bet Everywhere

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Gabriel Xiourouppa can't get away from the three-bet, with wins and losses of the three-bet variety occuring in the last few hands. First it was Nik Lackovic who raised to 60,000, whereby Xiourouppa promptly three-bet allin. Xiourouppa took down the pot.

A few hands later Xiourouppa was on the opposite side of the three-bet, this time Justin Cohen popped it to 150,000 after Xiourouppa raised to 50,000. If Xiourouppa keeps getting involved in these three-bet hands he will either find himself with an ever-growing stack or behind the rail. Time will tell.

Under The Gun

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

The under the gun raise and taking the pot down as the whole table folds move is becoming a bit of a fad at the final table with Antoine Bechara and Darren Kramer both taking that play to add to their stacks in consecutive hands.

Walk for Drewe

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Fold . . . Fold . . . Fold . . . You get the picture, and so did Martin Drewe when the table folded round to give him a walk.

The over-powering King-Deuce offsuit was the hand in question as he happily accepted the small blind and antes.

First Hand, Why Not?

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

The action folded to Isaac Lau in the small blind. The first hand of the final table, why not raise it up! It was 50,000 to Gabriel Xiourouppa in the big blind.

The first hand of the final table, why not three-bet! It was 200,000 to call for Lau.

The first hand of the final table, why not four-bet-shove! Lau did just that, forcing his opponent out of the hand.

Xiourouppa folded and tabled his {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} right in front of Lau's stack. Lau slowly pushed his and Xiourouppa's hand into the muck, Lau taking down the hand and adding to his stack.
