Melanie Wohlers entered the pot from middle position to 45,000 and Isaac Lau defended his big blind to see a flop fall.
Lau checked and Wohlers pushed out a bet of 65,000 only to have Lau check-raise to 175,000.
In response, Wohlers moved her entire 325,000-chip stack into the middle and Lau swiftly made the call.

With Lau needing to fade any spade, eight or combination of running two-pair or trips, the on the turn would render her tournament over as the meaningless on the river saw Lau improve to a flush.
For her efforts, Wohlers collects a handy AUD$8,520 as Lau was pushed the pot to move to over the 1,400,000-chip mark.
Scott Montgomery opened to 40,000 from under the gun, Mitchell Pavletich called and play came to Justin Cohen. Cohen raised three-bet 220,000, at which point Montgomery shoved allin for around 1,400,000. Cohen snap-called for his remaining 400,000 and a tournament life was on the line.

The board ran out and Cohen would hold up moving to 1,300,000, while Montgomery who held the chip for much of late into the day falls to 740,000.
With the last hand crippling Alfred Saliba, leaving him with only 26,000 after putting in his ante and sitting in the small blind, it would be the next hand that would be his demise.
Martin Drewe opened for 32,000 and managed three callers and Saliba moving his remaining chips into the pot.
The hand played out with Justin Cohen eventually forcing all other players out of the pot on a flop reading .
Saliba's could not improve against Cohen's , with Cohen taking the both the main and side pots, sending Saliba home.
Martin Drewe was under the gun +1 when he made it 32,000 to see a flop, with one caller in Alfred Saliba coming from the big blind.
Flop:
Saliba checked and Drewe bet 37,000.
Turn:
At this point Saliba open-shoved for 543,000. Drewe thought for a moment and made the call.

The big draw for Saliba didnt make it, the open-shove didnt get Drewe to fold and Drewe took down the pot. Saliba was left extremely crippled with 28,000.

A short-stacked Steven Jones found himself all in against Martin Drewe.
Jones:
Drewe:
In a typical coin-flip situation, Jones' call of heads would be his undoing as the board was spread to end his tournament in twentieth place as Drewe climbs to 530,000.
Martin Drewe opened to 32,000 from under the gun with Justin Cohen made the call as Martin Kozlov pondered the min-raise from the big blind before folding.
On a flop, Drewe continued for 28,000, which was enough to force a fold from Cohen as he slipped to 530,000 and Drewe climbed to 330,000.
