Benyamine Finds a Double

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Wang Qiang had the button, Chris Ferguson, from the cut-off made it 50,000 to go. David Benyamine, in the small blind raised making it 200,000 to go with only 65,000 behind that. The others folded, and Ferguson after some thought put Benyamine all in. David quickly made the call, and the cards were on their backs.

David Benyamine: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Chris Ferguson: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The board was a good one for the Frenchman, coming {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to double Benyamine up to about 545,000.

Qiang Checks His Way to a Small Victory

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Erik Seidel was on the button, and Wang Qiang limped in from early position. Sam Trickett made it 55,000 to go, getting all to fold but Qiang who called.

The flop dropped {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and both players checked.

The turn was the {6-Spades}, and both players checked again.

The river was the {2-Diamonds}, and they checked a third time. Wang Qiang apparently showed a winner that we couldn't see, as Trickett mucked and Qiang stacked some chips.

Wang Qiang made it 45,000 to go and it was folded around to Nikolay Evdakov who made the call.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}. Both players checked to the {10-Clubs} turn. Again, they checked and the river brought the {8-Diamonds}. It went check, check once more and Evdakov's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} was good against Qiang's {k-}{q-}.

Trickett Calls Down Qiang

Level 9 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Wang Qiang raised it up to 37,000 and Sam Trickett made the call in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Trickett checked to Qiang, who bet 56,000. Trickett studied the board, and then made the call.

The turn was the {q-Clubs}, and Trickett checked to Qiang again, who bet 127,000. Our fearless chip leader didn't take long and made the call.

The river was the {6-Diamonds}, and for a third straight time Trickett checked to Qiang. This time however, Qiang checked as well and mucked his hand, after Trickett showed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the win.

Trickett now is sitting with close to 1.5 million.
